Bicentennial Man (1999)

Who said that robots and computers could never possess the capacity for feelings, creativity or love? It's an undying quest for an android named Andrew, otherwise listed as an NDR-114 robot purchased as a household appliance by patriarch Richard Martin for his family. The Martins, including their two daughters and granddaughter, treat Andrew as a real person, but his increasing creativity and compassion makes them wonder: Is Andrew just well-programmed, or is he becoming human? Over the course of two centuries, Andrew sets out on a journey of self-discovery to find out what it is to be human, including the faults, frailties and mortality inherent in Earth's creatures.
