A search and rescue medical patrol ship in the early 22nd century, discovers a battered salvage ship that is sending out a distress call. When the seasoned crew of six responds what they find is a black hole that threatens to destroy both ships, as well as a mysterious survivor whose body quickly mutates into a deadly form.
